How it works

Enter a Reddit username (with or without u/) and choose comments or posts, or paste the full URL of a Reddit post. A post URL shows the post and its archived comments.

We query the public archive
Our server asks the public Arctic Shift archive for you, so your IP address is never sent to it. Arctic Shift saves public Reddit posts and comments shortly after they go up, so it often still has the original text after Reddit removes it.

Each result shows the original text, the subreddit, the score and a link to the live thread. Items the archive recorded as removed or deleted are labelled with who removed them.

Often, yes. If the comment was archived before a moderator removed it, the original text is preserved in the archive even though Reddit now shows [removed]. The same applies to comments the author later deleted, which Reddit shows as [deleted].
Yes. Enter the username and the tool returns that user's most recent archived comments, with any that were later removed or deleted clearly labelled.
It is free and needs no account. Our server looks up the public archive for you.
Archives are not exhaustive. If a comment was deleted very quickly, was never publicly visible, or was posted in a private or quarantined space, it may never have been archived. In that case there is no copy to recover.
This tool only shows content that was publicly posted to Reddit and publicly archived. It does not access private data. Use what you find responsibly and respect people's privacy. If you want your own content left out of this tool's results, email roman@redditservices.com with your username.
Paste the post URL (it contains /comments/) and press Search. If the archive saved the post before it was removed, you see the original title and text above the archived comments. To list everything a user posted, choose Posts and enter their username.
Reddit's filters can remove a post seconds after it goes up. When that happens the archive often keeps the title but saves the body as [removed]. Those posts are labelled so you know the body was never captured.
It means Reddit's automated systems removed the post, not a subreddit moderator. Reddit does not publish an official definition of this label and does not say which filter acted.
