Often, yes. If the comment was archived before a moderator removed it, the original text is preserved in the archive even though Reddit now shows [removed]. The same applies to comments the author later deleted, which Reddit shows as [deleted].

Archives are not exhaustive. If a comment was deleted very quickly, was never publicly visible, or was posted in a private or quarantined space, it may never have been archived. In that case there is no copy to recover.
This tool only surfaces content that was publicly posted to Reddit and publicly archived. It does not access private data. As always, use the information responsibly and respect people's privacy.
